Search for the perfect Home Theater.

It'll be a while, but I'm gathering info to buy stuff for my future Home Theater. When we've moved, the plan is to make a fresh start without our current 50KG tube. It's a fine screen for now, and theft-proof, digital tv is wasted on it, which also saves money. But it's enormous compared to the current standards.

Our current surround set/media center consists of a 8 year old 5.1 set combined with a 5 year old winxp beast. Pretty neat setup, though it's analog and the pc is loud and has a irritating high pitched tone. Composite tv-out on the tube forces the viewer to accept the always present vertical band and the level of blurriness you expected 10 years ago.

The Samsung UE40B6000 is currently priced at € 963,-, but doesn't have ethernet. The Sony Bravia KDL-40EX700 is currently priced at € 925,- , nicely priced and has it all.
