====== Search for the perfect Home Theater. ======

It'll be a while, but I'm gathering info to buy stuff for my future Home Theater. When we've moved, the plan is to make a fresh start without our current 50KG tube. It's a fine screen for now, and theft-proof, digital tv is wasted on it, which also saves money. But it's enormous compared to the current standards.

Our current surround set/media center consists of a 8 year old 5.1 set combined with a 5 year old winxp beast. Pretty neat setup, though it's analog and the pc is loud and has a irritating high pitched tone. Composite tv-out on the tube forces the viewer to accept the always present vertical band and the level of blurriness you expected 10 years ago.

I have divided the list into the following categories:

The Samsung UE40B6000 is currently priced at € 963,-, but doesn't have ethernet.
The Sony Bravia KDL-40EX700 is currently priced at € 925,- , nicely priced and has it all.
